The Perfect Marriage Proposal Date

Asking someone to take your hand in marriage is a serious step. Most people want to plan the perfect date for this event. Even without a lot of money you can make this very romantic and intimate. Here are a few pointers to help you out.

Pick A Special Place

A fancy restaurant will work, but you should try to make it more personal. If you shared something special early on in your dating life, try to incorporate this in to the proposal. For instance, if you went to a botanical garden for a walk and picnic and had a great time, consider trying to relive that experience somehow. If you make the event personal it will mean so much more than just popping the question at an expensive restaurant.

The Right Words

Choosing the right thing to say is just as important as the ring. While simply asking ‘will you marry me’ will suffice, she will remember it much more if you say something from the heart. Tell her why you love her. Tell her about that one special thing about her that you can’t live without. Inject humor in to this is you want as well. The point is, spend some time before going over all of this and prepare a speech. It will mean a lot more this way. One note on this – many people choose to use some method to keep notes for the speech. When the moment actually arrives you may find yourself too nervous to remember a long speech. Jotting down some quick notes in a place that she won’t likely see it will help keep you on track.
